Chief Cook recently completed a three-day police-media relations class at the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration in Plano, Texas. Over two dozen participants learned a variety of contemporary topics related to brand management, basic and advanced PIO skillsets, video production, graphic design, podcasting, and critical incident management.

Each October, Chief Cook offers this 21-hour course for strategic comms advisors and public information officers. Students from as far away as Detroit, Michigan, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and all across the State of Texas shared best practices.
